I first discovered craft beer thanks to my dad. He started home brewing in the driveway when I was a teenager. I have to admit, I hated the smell. He’d let me taste whatever he had, and it was all gross to me. After being the DD for several of my parent’s beer adventures, I got brave enough to try something on my own. At some point I asked him to teach me how to brew and I started ordering beers with them when we went out.
The rest is history.
When I’m not talking about beer with Karma, I probably either have or, am thinking about having, skates on my feet. I fancy myself as a not-terrible roller derby girl, skating under the name “Marie Fury” with the Machete Betties, Houston Roller Derby’s Rec League.
